London’s Calling

London's Calling | Rebecca Hawkes Diary

From Amsterdam to London. The city on my passport but also a city on my homecoming still feels a little like a mystery. London is so large and is ever changing that I feel like a new gem is waiting around the corner for me. Even in the dirtiest or in what appears to be residential living, there can be stores that grab your attention or a fresh pop-up event. I, myself, love the London markets. Roads that on a regular day are filled with busy commuters, come to life in the weekend as they get filled with foodie delights, foreign accents, cockney sellers calling out their wares and if your lucky a nibble or two of something delectable! On this trip I visited Borough Market and then Columbia Road Market. I stocked up on spices and filled up on a dosa, searched for the most stunning bouquet, nipped in and out of boutiques and tried out expressions in a photo booth. London is always waiting for a new adventure. I am looking forward to my next one.
