Collage Dropout

Collage Dropout : Magazine Collages by Rebecca Hawkes | Rebecca Hawkes Diary

If you have been a regular visitor to this blog, or just pop by now and again you will probably be aware that I like to keep visual references. Scrap to some is inspiration to others! Although all this paper sources of inspiration can become cumbersome while trying to maintain a well kept apartment ( battle that is constantly fought and only occasionally won), I cannot help but cling to magazine pages, business cards and leaflets. To try and avoid toppling piles, now and again I delve in. I slice pages, get busy with a glue stick and end up with a filled sketchbook. This time I wanted to try something a little different. I recently created a collage for my shoot for Volt Café and the urge to keep snipping never left me. I had a 1€ magazine (i.e.a cheaper magazine that doesn’t need preserving for further reading) left over from my French trip so I decided to step away from the computer screen and design by hand.

The results are here to share with you! I have also fashioned these collages into downloadable calendars that are just waiting to be filled with dates, plans, notes and inspiration.

That is amazing and inspirational. I like collage that is made by real materials than digital one.
